We are looking for staff to fill a number of roles on the day and are also asking academic staff to place their orders for academic dress.

Our summer graduation ceremonies will take place from Tuesday 11 July to Friday 14 July and preparation starts now.

All of the information you will need is available on our graduation website, but we've put together some of the key things you will need to know right here.

Volunteer for graduation

The Events team need to fill a number of Graduation roles as soon as possible:

  • Presenters’ Lists
  • Student Flow in Hall
  • Foot of Stairs
  • VIP Reception

Please contact the Events team - Katie Morris, kmm48@le.ac.uk or Clare Chisholm, cc336@le.ac.uk - if you are interested in volunteering for any of these roles. The Registry Operations team is responsible for arranging the remaining graduation roles and a call for volunteers will be sent in due course. Please direct any queries about the remaining roles to Aboo Aboobaker, amra3@le.ac.uk.

We will be running two training sessions on the 4 and 5 July to provide an overview of the different duties and what they entail. All volunteers will be invited to attend either training session.

Instructions on ordering Academic Dress

If you have previously ordered a gown for Graduation, you will receive an email from Ede & Ravenscroft inviting you to register your attendance for the July ceremonies and confirm your gown order, if necessary. If you wish to sign up for an online Ede & Ravenscroft account to be able to order a gown, please email the Events team, events@le.ac.uk. You will be able to order your gown until Friday 16 June.

Student graduate registration

Registration for students is open from Monday 8 May through to Friday 16 June.  We have a dedicated team ready to support students throughout the graduation period. If your students have any queries, they just need to call 0116 252 2448 or email graduation@le.ac.uk.
