Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week – 5-9 February

Sexual abuse and sexual violence are never OK. Alongside the Students’ Union, we are standing together against sexual violence and are asking you to join us throughout the week for a range of events and activities.

The Caravan Theatre will be joining us in Event Square between 12noon-4pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Come and watch some free theatre, grab a free hot drink, and pledge your support! Take some pictures with our Instagram frame and whiteboards for a chance to win one of two food hampers or food vouchers!

Tuesday 6 February

The Caravan Theatre will be outside the Village Hub at Oadby Student Village between 5-9pm giving students the chance to watch a powerful play about sexual violence.

Wednesday 7 February

Students are supporting the campaign on their nights out too. The o2 Academy and Rockstar staff are supporting the campaign at LetsDisko by sending their bucket donations to a sexual violence charity (tbc).

Thursday 8 February

Our HeForShe and United Nations student societies are hosting a thought-provoking student debate. Students are invited to come along at 5.30-7pm in Bennett Lecture Theatre 10. More information is available here.

Please note: staff are welcome at this event however we ask they just observe rather than participate.

Don't forget to share your pictures throughout the week to be in with a chance of winning one of two food hampers, worth £20 each! All you have to do is tweet @UniOfLeicester using #itsnotok.
