A new staff Volunteering Policy is on the way which will make it easier for staff to donate their time to making lives better.

The Staff Volunteering Policy is being developed to make it easier for our staff to help out in the community and make Leicester a happier place for everyone.

The new policy will allow staff to undertake volunteering activities with up to 2 of their equivalent working days per annum paid leave.  This policy will be launched on the Wednesday 27 September as part of the Students Volunteering Fair in the Queen's Hall, Percy Gee Building.

Please visit the Staff Volunteering area anytime between 10.00am and 4.00pm to receive a copy of the policy and speak to some of our key partners about volunteering opportunities. Groups involved with the development of this policy include Voluntary Action Leicester, LGBT Centre,  Leicester City Council, Leicestershire Cares and our own sustainability and Hungry for Change teams who are all working together to build a better Leicester.

The policy does also allow you to find your own volunteering opportunities which may be with an organisation that is close to your heart.
