Put the date in your diaries for this year’s conference: Wednesday 13 June.

Following the huge success of last year’s conference, all academic and teaching staff are invited to attend our Discovering Teaching Excellence at Leicester Conference, organised by the Leicester Learning Institute (LLI) on Wednesday 13 June.

The conference will be co-chaired by Professor Jon Scott, the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Student Experience and Dr Kerry Dobbins, Professional Development Advisor from the LLI.

During the conference, colleagues will have opportunities to share practice around teaching and learning development activities, approaches and initiatives. Colleagues will also have opportunities to disseminate and discuss pedagogic research activities.

The keynote speaker for the event is Ant Bagshaw from Wonkhe, which is the home of ‘those who work in and around universities and anyone interested and engaged in higher education policy, people and politics.’

Ant will be speaking about the state of learning and teaching in the sector and its current driving forces, like the Teaching Excellence Framework. You can read more about him here.

The calls for proposals for presentations and posters will be released shortly, so keep a look out on staff announcements and on the Staff Insider.
