From big stars to a big moon, British Science Week at the University of Leicester will be one to remember.

This year at the University, we’re going big on Science Week, in every sense of the word! Kicking off on 9 March, we’re holding two weeks of events for the whole family in and around the city of Leicester. This year’s theme is discover and explore and that’s exactly what we’re asking you to do, as a wide range of venues play host to some fantastic scientific showcases.

The centrepiece will be Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon, a huge recreation of our nearest neighbour, which will be hanging in Leicester Cathedral for the duration, and we will also be hosting a talk by BBC star and renowned geneticist Adam Rutherford which you can book your place for now.

We will be launching our events website and brochure soon, but here’s an exclusive sneak peek of everything we have planned.
