New Blackboard site to give all researchers access to information and resources about research impact.

A new resource has been launched on Blackboard for all researchers containing information about how to identify, develop and measure the economic and societal impact of research.

The site contains information, tools and support including:

  • An explanation of research impact and its relevance to all researchers
  • Guidance on writing the Pathways to Impact and Impact Summary sections of grant applications
  • Examples of successful Pathways to Impact
  • Information about the role of impact in the Research Excellence Framework
  • Access to the national, searchable impact case study database
  • Access to the national set of REF results
  • Key national impact analysis reports
  • Information about University impact workshops and training
  • Examples of 4* case studies from other HEIs for every discipline
  • Tools for planning engagement with stakeholders, using social media and planning impact activities
  • Advice on impact evaluation and sources of evidence
  • Information about the REF-Research Impact Development Fund

All research-active staff should have access to the Research Impact Course site. For access, go to the Blackboard site and find the link to Research Impact under My Courses.

Requests for help or access should be sent to Louise Thompson
