Registration, what you need to know

Freshers’ Week is just around the corner, we wanted to give you some of the key information that you’ll need to know.

As we prepare for student arrival and registration we know that there will be plenty of questions asked of staff. To help you answer these questions (and because we know you’ll be interested) we’ve summarised some of the key points you’ll need to know.

Our online registration system means that our students should arrive more prepared than they have before. Our welcome to Leicester Project has been working to provide a tailored arrivals process with induction support and a joined up process to make it easier than ever for students to get registered with us.

Quicker and easier registration

New for this year, our new EU/Home students will be undergo their ID check, complete registration and choose to receive their ID card at their University accommodation (Oadby and Nixon Court). This aims to speed up the on-campus registration process so that overseas students can quickly and easily get registered at our Visa Checkpoints in the Sports Hall and Student Services Centre.

If in any doubt… please ask students to come to the Student Services Centre in the Charles Wilson Building!
