Got an unwanted bike? Donate it on 15 June to help city asylum seekers.

Have you forgotten the last time you used your bike? Is it just taking up space in your house? If this is the case, then consider donating your bike to charity at an event on 15 June.

The university has linked up with Enterprise-Rent-A-Car to donate bicycles to the City of Sanctuary charity, which supports refugees and asylum seekers. All donations will provide these groups with much needed transportation, allowing them to attend appointments, job interviews and social meetings.

Bikes – old and new – can be dropped off between 12noon and 2pm at:

  • The Fielding Johnson Building car park on the main university campus
  • Outside the Village Hub in Oadby student village

As a thank you for donating, you will receive a free drink.
