New Eploy recruitment system

We're pleased to announce that the roll-out of the new recruitment system for permanent and fixed term staff is almost complete.

Eploy has replaced i-GRasp for the recruitment of permanent and fixed term staff. Eploy has the benefit of allowing recruiting managers to use one system to manage all their recruitment needs from approval to offer and gives managers more control over their vacancies.

In addition, the implementation of Eploy:

  • Removes the need for paper-based authorisation as this is now managed online
  • Provides applicants with a much improved experience when applying for roles at the University and during on-boarding
  • Allow managers to track and manage their vacancies more effectively through automated updates  and more transparency as to the progress of the vacancy
  • Provides more comprehensive management information allowing us to monitor the recruitment process and trends
  • Makes the on-boarding process quicker, easier and more applicant friendly

As the vacancy approval process is now managed entirely within Eploy, all new roles must be raised through the Hiring Manager Portal . This will then trigger the online authorisation process including submission to the Provost Resourcing Group so there is no longer the need to submit your role to the Planning Office by email once financial authorisation has been obtained. Any roles already requested via a paper based approval will be made live on Eploy however please be aware that any new roles must be authorised online as it will no longer possible to process paper-based PAFs.

All posts will also be advertised on the new university vacancy web page is website.

Please be aware though that contract extensions that sit outside of recruitment will continue to be managed via paper-based approval (PAF or RSA3).
