Staff and students lined up to choose the winning blend which will be served across campus outlets.

As you may be aware, earlier this week campus retailer Here For U ran a series of taste testing sessions at their chrome Craft Coffee Van. Staff and students lined up to choose the winning blend which has been announced as….*drum roll please*… Cooling Towers!

With a not-too-shabby 47% of the vote, over 270 people voted for the blend which will now be served across campus. It’s described as a ‘medium dark roast made with 100% Arabica beans, carefully roasted and checked for quality by a small artisan supplier'.

As part of Here For U's sustainability goals, it's ethically sourced and grown in one of the most diverse countries in the world, the Cauca region of Colombia. A direct trade exists between the Fairtrade coffee farmers who grow the beans and the supplier who sources them. This has a positive impact both agriculturally and on the coffee farmers’ living conditions.

Here for U hopes that students and staff alike will find room in their schedule to try a cup.

They will be holding free coffee tasting sessions on 15 February from 11am - 2pm where you can try it for yourself.
