Mindfulness for Staff

Come along to our Mindfulness Sessions, brought to you by our Health and Wellbeing team

We are pleased to announce a number of Mindfulness events for staff, brought to you by the Staff Health and Wellbeing team, with help from the School of Medicine.

Have a look at the following events and see which one is right for you. If you have any questions, or need help deciding, please get in touch.

Introduction to Mindfulness

This session is a brief introduction and taste of Mindfulness. It is a one hour session, and staff will receive a copy of ‘Mindfulness: A practical guide to finding peace in a frantic world’ by Mark Williams.

Tuesday 20 March at 1pm

Venue: Engineering Building, Second Floor Lecture Theatre 2

Tuesday 15 May at 1pm

Venue: Ken Edwards First Floor Lecture Theatre 1

Mindfulness Workshop

This workshop is an introduction to Mindfulness, with a trial of mindfulness meditations and will run for an hour and a half.

Wednesday 21 March at 10am

Venue: Physics Building Ground Floor Lecture Theatre (This workshop is now full)

Thursday 5 April at 3pm

Venue: Charles Wilson Fourth Floor Room 411 (This workshop is now full)

Eight Week Mindfulness Course

This course is a guide to reducing stress and bringing Mindfulness into everyday life. Staff need to be able to commit to a two hour session for eight weeks.

Commencing Wednesday 4 April until Wednesday 23 May from 2pm until 4pm

Venue: Attenborough Eighth Floor Room 802 (This course is now full)


Please book your place at the event that best suits your needs by sending an email, indicating the name and date of the event you wish to attend.

Confirmation of a venue will be communicated to the email once the venue has been confirmed.
