The Kit Catalogue is the University’s online research equipment database.

It contains a detailed directory of research equipment, specialist machines and facilities held across the University campus.

It is an easy to use web-based catalogue, with over 400 items from multiple departments across the University. All research equipment exceeding the value of £25,000 should be included in the Kit Catalogue.

The key benefits of the catalogue are:

  • Helps to reduce costly double purchasing of equipment and encourages collaborative research
  • Can be used to support research equipment funding applications
  • Helps to tap into relevant staff expertise and share with the research community and industry
  • Provides a data feed of shared items into regional and national equipment portals such as and Midland Innovation Universities consortium

The catalogue can be found here and you can find more information on the research support pages.
