Come along to a fantastic lecture by Leicester alumna Danielle Brown MBE and help us to celebrate gender equality at the University.

Tuesday 8 March is International Women’s Day and we are proud to welcome back to campus double Paralympic gold medallist and Leicester alumna Danielle Brown MBE (pictured right).

Danielle will be delivering our keynote speech on why gender equality is important to sport, and what it means to her at 12.15pm in the Charles Wilson Belvoir City Lounge.

As part of the event we will also be rewarding the contributions to gender quality of two members of staff and two students of different genders who will discuss why gender quality matters to them.

We are one of only ten University Impact Champions to the UN’s HeForShe campaign which underscores our commitment to gender equality and will help to ensure that all our students and staff feel empowered to pursue their ambitions.

To find out more about this event, and others going on around the University, please visit the International Women’s Day events page, and if you are running an event for the day, please email to let us know and we will add it.
