To support On Your Feet day there will be three guided walks from main campus. Join your colleagues from across the University and discover how much fun walking at lunchtime can be!

On Friday 28 April, we will be celebrating On Your Feet day, a nationwide initiative to encourage Britons to #SitLess and #MoveMore.

To help staff to squeeze a bit of exercise into their busy timetables, and learn more about our local community along the way, we will be hosting a series of guided walks from main campus on Friday lunchtime. There is no need to book for any of the walks, just turn up at one of the three meeting places as detailed below:

  • 12.00 pm, Brookfield Campus: meet Nicola Junkin at the Big Pond. Please be prompt as the Brookfield Group will be meeting the Main Campus Group.
  • 12.15 pm, Main Campus: meet Melanie Wright outside the Charles Wilson Building.
  • 12.15pm, Oadby: meet Michelle Walter at the amphitheatre outside John Foster Reception

Don’t forget that May is national walking month. There is still time to get a team together in your department to ‘walk’ to an exotic place by converting your combined steps into miles.
