Do you have any talks or ideas to submit for Black History Month this October? Let us know your plans by Thursday 30 June 2016.

This year, Black History Month will recognise the life and work of South African Social Rights activist Desmond Tutu on the occasion of his 85th Birthday and also marks 40 years since the seminal publication The Arts the Britain Ignores by Naseem Kahn. Policy, practice and social justice is the theme that will be celebrated throughout Black History Month this October.

Serendipity is co-ordinating Leicester’s Black History Month in October 2016. If you are planning an event for Black History Month this year and would like it to be included in the official Black History Month Leicester brochure, please let them know.

Your event can be for current students or for the general public.

To be featured in the publication as a separate event, please complete the form, including copy, high resolution images (300dpi) and your event's location. The Black History Month brochure, website and other marketing media will include events taking place in the month of October only. Please ensure that the information you provide is accurate and eligible to be in the public domain.

Please complete the Black History Month events form and return to by Thursday 30 June 2016.
