Join a live webstream of an event hosted by the University on behalf of the Global Challenges Research Fund, 14 September, from 10am to 1pm

It's part of a series of events across the UK aiming to engage research and user communities with the GCRF Strategy and to discuss funding opportunities and best practice. The events will also explore practical elements of development research such as partnership building and ODA compliance.

This is the only Midlands regional event of its kind, and we are delighted to be hosting guest speakers Professors Madara Ogot (University of Nairobi), Ferdous Jahan (University of Dhaka) and Sosten Chiotha (University of Malawi) throughout the day.

Watch the event live at www.le.ac.uk/oda. And send in your questions for our panel using the Twitter hashtag #GCRFLeicester or by emailing gcrf@le.ac.uk

About the GCRF

The Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) is a five-year £1.5 billion funding stream, announced as part of the Government's 2015 spending review. It's part of the UK's Official Development Assistance commitment to support research addressing the problems faced by developing countries.

GCRF research should clearly demonstrate that the primary purpose is to promote the economic development and welfare of Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs).
