Food for Thought: Continuous Improvement at Leicester- More Art than Science?

Our Food for Thought sessions are a series of lunchtime talks brought to you by the Leicester Learning Institute aiming to make staff more aware of areas of the University that they may not be familiar with, and to shed light on some of our strategic developments and challenges.

We’re building a ‘Leicester approach’ to continuous improvement which is a flexible way of improving processes using a range of tools that we have learned work well here, underpinned with a generous pinch of common sense.

The session will give you information about who we are and what we do. You will hear first-hand examples of work we are involved with. With you we will explore what the key ingredients are for embedding continuous improvement in the workplace, whether art or science!

Professor Zoe Radnor, Dean of the School of Business, will be there to share some of her experience of Lean in public services.

The lecture is open to all staff and will take place on Monday 16 April at 12:30-1:30pm in Ken Edwards Lecture Theatre 3.
