Academic and professional services staff are invited to apply for Erasmus+ funding to go abroad for teaching or training. This is called an Erasmus ‘Staff Exchange’.

This competitive funding provides a perfect opportunity for staff to acquire and share innovative teaching methods, exchange good practices with peers worldwide, and contribute to their professional development.

Staff can apply to go to any Erasmus+ Programme Country for between 2 and 60 days. It can be with a University, or, if interested in training opportunities, with an enterprise. We also have limited openings for both staff training and teaching exchanges in New Zealand, South Africa, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. These are institution specific, and partner Universities are listed on our website.

If teaching, the staff members teach eight hours per week of the exchange (deliverable teaching to either Bachelor, Master's or PhD level, not including planning time). If training, it can be any combination of job shadowing or observation, all with the aim to transfer knowledge and good practice, to learn from shared experience, acquire practical skills or discover new ideas for teaching and learning.

The next deadline for applications is 30 April 2017. Visit the Erasmus+ Staff Exchange pages (log in only) to find out more information about the funding amounts available, selection criteria and to download an application form.
