Have you ever thought about developing your team members through apprenticeships? Come to our event on 1 July and find out more.

If you're a line manager and want to find out how you or your team members can gain valuable experience and a professional qualification, why not come along to this event? There will be a focus on laboratory, finance and accountancy, health and safety, project and people management apprenticeships. We have selected the areas of focus for this first session based on informal feedback from a number of colleagues and we believe that the University will benefit from the strengthening of these skills.

The apprenticeships may be of particular interest to colleagues working at the University as laboratory technicians and scientists, in finance and accountancy roles, those who manage projects or have health and safety responsibilities and those who are interested in gaining the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) qualification.
Apprenticeships offer skills training accredited through relevant and recognised professional bodies. For example, the level 4 project management apprenticeship offers accreditation through the Association of Project Management (APM).

The session will be help on Monday, 1 July 2019 from 1.45pm to 4.30pm on the main University campus. You are very welcome to bring along a couple of team colleagues to meet a variety of registered apprenticeship training providers who specialise in these particular areas above.

Training and assessment costs for all apprenticeships approved by the Head of Organisational Development are funded through our central apprenticeship levy pot.

You can book places via Organisational Development, Division of HR, please email Places are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
