Campus Sports Centre closed this week to make huge improvements

This summer we will be making some great improvements to the Danielle Brown Sports Centre, but in order to do so we will need to close the centre from 15-23 August.

Both the cardiovascular kit on the ground floor and the fixed resistance machines on the first floor will be replaced with state-of-the-art Life Fitness equipment. The new equipment will be some of the best currently available, with new and exciting features such as rep counters on weights machines.

At the same time we’ll also be updating our AV services, meaning that you can watch live TV while you exercise. On any machine with an inbuilt screen, you will be able to tune in to a huge range of digital channels including Sky TV.

In order to make these changes, we will have to close the entire centre, including the swimming pool in order to safely replace the equipment and take the opportunity to perform essential maintenance to the plant rooms.

While we understand that this may cause some inconvenience, we have planned the closure for the least busy time of the year, and this essential work will provide a huge improvement in your experience at the centre.

While the centre is closed, all members still have full access to the Roger Bettles Sports Centre in Oadby.

If you have any further questions about the works please email usc@le.ac.uk.
