We’re eager to received proposals for the next Festival of Social Science – which will take place in November.

The Festival of Social Science is one of the leading social science events in the UK. Set up in 2002 by the Economic & Social Research Council, it offers a collection of events aimed towards academics, policymakers, business, the public and young people. The festival is a chance for academic to discuss new and exciting research – much of which will help shape public policy.

As part of our Impact Accelerator Account from the ESRC, the University will be funding 10 events and allocating up to £1000 for each. We are seeking your proposals for these. They need to be free, feature social science, and engage non-academic audiences. We will help by promoting the festival alongside other Midlands Universities who also have ESRC Impact Accelerator Accounts.

The deadline for proposals is 13th May. Interested researchers should complete the Festival of Social Science guidelines/form (accessed here) and return it to the Impact Accelerator Team.
