Business Objects student data reports affected: Thursday 21 July 9.00am – Monday 1 August 2016 9.00am

You should not use Business Objects reports if they rely on student data held in our Student Records System (SITS), from 9.00am on Thursday 21 July 2016 until 9.00am on Monday 1 August 2016 because the information may not be accurate.

This is due to major maintenance to SITS as part of the Academic Model project.

What

Existing and new student data held in SITS will be converted to a new and improved academic model structure. During this time Business Objects reports may show incorrect information if they are based on student data.

When

Thursday 21 July 2016 9.00am - Monday 1 August 2016 9.00am
  • The academic model changes in the Student Record System (SITS) will take place
  • Business Objects reports that are based on student data held in SITS, should not be used during this time, as the reports may show inaccurate information

Why

The Academic Model project is implementing a common framework in the SITS, within which all student records can fit, regardless of student type, programme types or means of progression.

The changes to data structures being made as part of the Academic Model project will impact heavily on student records reporting. See the Business Objects Reports section which describes these impacts, as well as improvements to Business Objects reports folders and the reports within them.
