Bookshop closure and departmental ordering

With the closure of the bookshop on Friday 2 December, we’re aware that departments want to know what will happen to departmental book ordering.

As we previously reported, the University Bookshop closes on Friday 2 December. The existing servicing of DL books, course books, course packs (eg geology and science equipment packs) and specialist books will continue.

We can confirm that this will now be handled by Campus Services. We have had some staffing changes so it has not been possible to update colleagues before this, as a new process is currently being devised.

Any new requests must be sent to the new email account which will automatically capture any emails sent to the current address.

Once the new process has been finalised, we will communicate this to colleagues within departments across the University.

In the meantime, please be assured that the service will continue and we will make the transition to the new process as seamless as possible.
