Staff in the Cancer Research UK Leicester Centre raised more than £400 for charity

The Cancer Research UK Leicester Centre is participating in the CRUK Stand Up To Cancer Campaign on 21 October and is encouraging people to dress up for stand up and will be holding bake at the Henry Wellcome Building and the Osborne Building at the LRI. See Steph Moutrey or Jenny McNair to donate your £1, or donate at a bake sale location.

Donate £1 to life saving research and come to work in your most outrageous outfit, fancy dress or Stand Up colours (black and orange), subject to your line manager’s approval. Please adhere to safety regulations if wearing fancy dress and working in the laboratory or clinical areas.

There will also be bake sales in the Henry Wellcome Atrium and Osborne Reception, LRI, and purchase something scrumptious to have with your morning cup of tea or coffee. The bake sale will be open from 10.00 am –12.30 pm (unless all the goodies go before then!).

Update, 24 October:

Steph Moutrey from the Cancer Research UK Leicester Centre said: "Please may I say a huge 'thank you' to everyone who donated baked items, helped with the sales and bought cakes and savouries for Stand Up To Cancer on Friday 21st October 2016. The range of items on offer was amazing and the generosity of those donating equally so. I am pleased to say the combined total from the sales held at the Henry Wellcome Building and Osborne Building, LRI was £427.60, which is absolutely astonishing. Thank you again for supporting the Cancer Research UK Leicester Centre and Stand Up To Cancer."
