As part of the University of Leicester’s commitment to gender equality and our role as a HeForShe impact champion, we are proud to present the next round of applications for this leadership development programme aimed at women

The ‘Aurora’ initiative was launched by the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education in autumn 2013 and aims to enable a wide range of women in academic and professional roles to think of themselves as future leaders, and to develop leadership skills and strategies.

The programme is intended to develop women with the potential for leadership, not just those who have already shown a talent for it. It takes a partnership approach with a combination of education, mentoring and self-directed study which will ensure that you will learn in a way that has an enduring impact.

We have agreed to sponsor up to eight women to participate in this initiative, drawn from across the institution. There are also a number of departments within the College of Medicine, Biological Sciences and Psychology that are looking to sponsor their own additional Aurora participants.

The programme is designed for women up to, and including, senior lecturer level or professional services equivalent (Grades 7-9). Applications from all of our Academic Colleges as well as Corporate Services are encouraged and will be judged against the expectations listed on the Leicester Learning Institute webpage.
