Scientists from around the world are invited to apply for one of five awards of €100,000 to further their research.

The call for nominations for the 19th edition of the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Awards is now open.

In their 19th year, the Awards will celebrate five outstanding scientific researchers in the Physical Sciences working in one of the following regions: Africa & the Arab States, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America. Each of the five Laureates will receive an award of €100,000 to further their research.

Over the past 18 years, the program has honoured 92 distinguished Laureates and supported more than 2,400 women for their accomplishments in their field.

The deadline for nominations is Monday 20 June and candidates can only be nominated by qualified scientists (PhD minimum requirement). An independent, international jury of eminent scientists will gather in September to make their selection.
