The post has been created in order to further develop the University’s portfolio management capability and to ensure the smooth running of the VC’s office and executive team.

Amy started the role on Wednesday 1 February and brings to the role her skills in strategic and operational planning and management both here at Leicester and from previous roles, along with extensive experience of coordinating and communicating change in organisations.

She will be responsible for the monitoring and control of key strategic projects, reporting into ULT, Council and other governance and management bodies. She will also directly support and advise Professor Paul Boyle in delivering specific strategic initiatives and oversee the development of the University’s approach to corporate portfolio management.

Additionally, Amy will be accountable for professional support across the VC/PVC secretariat and will work with the VC’s new Executive Assistant Jacqui Argyri, to ensure that operating principles are agreed and implemented.

Professor Paul Boyle said: “I’m very pleased to welcome Amy to the VC’s Office. She has already proven that she will be an asset to the team with her work in the School of Management and leading on the University transformation programme over the past year. I look forward to Amy applying her meticulous approach and boundless energy to our strategic work and the ongoing success of the University.”

Amy added: “This is a very exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our thriving organisation and work closely with senior colleagues and stakeholders in shaping this new role. I am delighted to have been appointed and look forward to contributing to the continuing success of our University.”
