A new approach to recruiting staff

A new recruitment and time-sheet system is coming soon to help you manage the recruitment of new staff.

Following feedback from across the University we have looked at new systems for managing Atypicals, teaching and research staff and permanent and fixed term substantive staff recruitment, giving managers a more focused way to look after their applications.

We are therefore delighted to announce that a new system “Eploy” has been purchased and a project team is working hard to implement it in Spring 2018.

Eploy will have the benefit of allowing recruiting managers to use one system to manage all their recruitment needs and aims to:

  • Improve the experience for candidates and recruiting managers and reduce the time to recruit
  • Allow managers to track and manage their vacancies more effectively through automation  and transparency
  • Provide better management information to monitor the recruitment process and trends
  • Manage the on-boarding process to make the experience quicker, easier and more customer friendly

As we work towards the system being implemented from Spring next year we will be asking for comments on how processes can be improved and arranging a series of drop in sessions so that you can get to see the system and what it has to offer.  The Recruitment Team will also be coming out to Departments to demonstrate the system and provide advice and training on how to use it.

If you have any queries or would like to become involved in any of the drop in sessions please do feel free to contact either Debbie Gregory, Recruitment Project Manager dlg17@leicester.ac.uk or Shazia Judge, HR Project Manager/Advisor (Recruitment) sj303@leicester.ac.uk.
