A level results embargo

Each year, we receive the A level results from UCAS in advance of their publication to the students. This enables us to confirm the places of conditional offer holders prior to the opening of Clearing. In order for UCAS to share results with us in this way, we agree to certain strict obligations which we must not breach.

To help ensure that we meet these obligations, we have a period of communications embargo between the time that the results are received and the time they are published to the students.

This year, the embargo will be between Friday 12 August, when the results are received, and Thursday 18 August, when they will be published to the students.

This email is to remind you that during the period of the embargo we all undertake not to share the results either intentionally or inadvertently, nor to respond to any communications from a third party, including an applicant, their adviser or a journalist. This includes any communication which could suggest that an applicant has had their place confirmed.

We thank you for your co-operation in this matter. If you have any questions about our obligations in connection with the contract with UCAS, please contact Jenny Dnes, Director of Admissions on jd144@le.ac.uk.
