2019/20 Semester One draft timetables are available for teaching staff to review. Feedback about these must be returned by no later than 5pm on Friday 5 July.

By Tuesday 25 June at 9am all teaching staff should have received an email with further information about accessing your personal draft timetable, along with a list of things you will need to check. If you believe that you should be teaching in Semester One, and did not receive this email, please contact the Timetabling Team as soon as possible - timetabling@leicester.ac.uk.

Why are staff being asked to check these?

Timetable changes are regularly highlighted as a source of frustration for students, as they can impact on their other commitments. While some changes are unavoidable (eg, staff illness), the University has had a high rate of avoidable change for many years, which is reflected in our National Student Survey (NSS) scores.

Thanks to new software acquired as part of the Personalised Calendar Services (PCS) project, we are able to issue draft timetables to staff in advance of publication to students. This positive action will eliminate avoidable timetable changes, and will in turn improve the student experience in relation to timetabling, along with our NSS results.
