Tickets still available for talk at De Montfort Hall

Bestselling American crime author Patricia Cornwell will be giving a free public lecture as part of the University of Leicester’s Chancellor’s Distinguished Lecture Series and Literary Leicester festival 2016 from 7pm on Monday 24 October at De Montfort Hall.

She will be visiting Leicester to give a talk about her new book Chaos. Patricia is widely known for writing a popular series of novels featuring the heroine Dr Kay Scarpetta, a medical examiner. Her books have sold more than 100 million copies worldwide.

The lecture will provide a thrilling insight into how Patricia writes her novels, her in-depth research and will give people the chance to hear her own fascinating story. There will also be an opportunity for members of the audience to ask Patricia questions.

Public tickets for the lecture are still available and can be booked in person or by phone via the De Montfort Hall ticket office on 0116 233 3111.

Staff and students who have been allocated tickets through the ballots can collect their tickets from the Main Reception desk in the Fielding Johnson Building until Friday this week. After this time, tickets can be collected on the day of the event from 6pm at De Montfort Hall foyer.

There will also be a limited quantity of Patricia Cornwell’s new book ‘Chaos’ available to buy on the night at a specially discounted price.
