‘Discovering Teaching Excellence at Leicester’ Conference – Keynote Speakers Announced

We are delighted to announce that the ‘Discovering Teaching Excellence at Leicester’ Conference and Exhibition, 4-5 July will be opened by Colin Bryson and Ruth Furlonger from Newcastle University.

Colin Bryson is a leading UK expert on the topic of student engagement and has published many studies in this area.

He, along with his colleague Ruth Furlonger  will be delivering the opening conference keynote speech after the lunchtime poster exhibition on Tuesday 4 July 2017.

The keynote address on the second day of the conference, Wednesday 5th July 2017, will be given by University of Leicester colleagues who are successfully engaging in in pedagogic research activities. These speakers are:

  • Tracey Dodman, Associate Professor
  • Dr Dylan Williams
  • Dr Sarah Gretton
  • Dr Chris Willmott

This two-day conference will provide you with opportunities to share practice around teaching and learning development activities, approaches, and initiatives, and disseminate and discuss pedagogic research activities.

The overarching themes of the conference are:

  • Belonging and resilience
  • Retention and progression
  • Partnership in learning
