Add bookmarks and notes

Online tutorial Watching a Reflect recording (online tutorial)

When you watch a recording, you will probably want to make notes on it. Rather than making notes separately from the recording, Panopto enables you to make notes as you are watching the recording so they are linked to the relevant section of the recording. You can click on the note to return to that part of the recording. It is valuable to keep all of your information relating to a lecture in one place, rather than needing to have notes in different formats, and possibly stored separately. This should make it easier and less time-consuming to when returning to your notes at revision time.

You can also add bookmarks so that it is easier to go back to a particular point of a recording in future, maybe a section that you are struggling to understand or need to focus on when revising.

Add notes

You can take notes in Panopto while watching a recording. Next time you watch the recording you can click on a note to take you to that part of the recording.

Add notes

  1. Click Notes on the bottom left
  2. Type your note into the box and press Enter on your keyboard
  3. By default, your notes are private to you. If you want to make them public, click Make public
  4. Next time you watch the recording, click Notes again to see your notes.  Click on a note to return to that point of the recording.

Add bookmarks

You can bookmark specific parts of a recording that you want to look at again.

Add bookmarks
