Embed a YouTube clip

You can choose to embed a YouTube clip at a specified point in your recording. This could be useful if you are creating materials for Distance Learning students, or if you showed a YouTube clip in your lecture but the sound was not captured very well.

To embed a YouTube clip, you need to edit your recording, then:

  1. Click on the timeline at the point where you want to add the YouTube clip.
  2. Click the Add Content button above the timeline and choose to Add a YouTube video.
    Add a YouTube video
  3. Then choose your options:
  4. Link, position and portion to play.
    1. Link is the link to the YouTube video
    2. Time is the position in the recording where you want to add the YouTube video. You do not need to change this if you have already clicked on the timeline at the appropriate place.
    3. Start and End indicate the portion of the YouTube video to play. Leave these blank to play the whole video.
  5. Click Done and Apply when you have finished.
