Check viewing figures

For recordings shared in Blackboard, you can easily find out how many students have watched a recording, which sections they have watched most and even which students have watched it. You can do this for an individual lecture or a whole module and you can download the data to Excel.

You may find that a particular section of your lecture has a large number of views, which may indicate a particularly difficult topic that students find difficult to understand. You could use this information to shape your teaching in future. You may also be able to identify students who are neither attending lectures nor watching the recordings and thus are at risk of failing.

  4. Views By Day shows when people watched the video and how long they watched it for.  If the number of Views is greater than the Unique Users then some people have watched the video more than once.
