This issue covers the background in selective plant breeding over the centuries and then describes the more recent advances and the introduction of genetically modified crops. The intrinsic objections, safety concerns (such as containment and good safety), sociopolitical concerns and other wider global issues are also covered.

Each topic is available as a PDF file which can be downloaded. The PDF files contain background information, case studies, a list of resources and links to further information.
