Future events

SFWC February 2013 flyer (PDF)At the last event in October 2013 we ran a discussion forum to find out participants views about how we can best support and protect families with cancer. We are currently looking at these ideas and working to find further funding so we can focus our efforts and resources in the right way. For this reason we have not scheduled a date for the next Lifestyle and Cancer Awareness Event but you can still contact us for more information or register your interest via our online form. You can also sign up for news updates via the website updates form.

To find our more about the last event you can download the October 2013 programme (PDF) and flyer (PDF) or view the presentations from past events on our Information and Videos page.

Feedback

We have had very positive feedback from families who have attended the lifestyle and cancer awareness events and they particularly appreciated the presentations given by experts and the chances to talk one to one with specialists.

An evaluation was carried out of the three events that took place in June 2012, October 2012 and February 2013. Out of the 65 attendees who participated in a survey, all found the overall events informative, with more than 80% finding them very informative. 81% said they intended to make changes to their lifestyle following the events.

People who attended found that the information given at the event was both helpful and reassuring, with one person noting it was an excellent day, very informative - hope they keep going and progress around the UK.
