GENIE's National Network

GENIE is establishing a national network of genetics educators, people involved in delivering genetics programmes and promoting genetics education. This network of stake holders in genetics education promotes sharing of ideas, experiences and resources to establish best practice. At the moment representatives from the Universities of Cambridge, Leicester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Sheffield, Warwick and Westminster, and University College Northampton, are committed to share practices and ideas through workshops and seminars, and to use and contribute to GENIE's Virtual Genetics Education Centre, disseminating genetics resources and thereby raising awareness of the GENIE CETL work.

The vision for GENIE is one in which this network will grow into a UK wide network including people from all 33 institutions currently engaged in genetics teaching, as well as representatives of professional bodies, charitable foundations and pharmaceutical companies. If you are interested, feel you can contribute to optimising best practice for genetics education, or want more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
