NEREUS (Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies)

NEREUS is a network which currently unites 26 European regions and 30 associated members. All regional consortium partners are potential users of GMES services and members of the NEREUS network of European regions bringing a wealth of experience and know how into the project.

DORIS_Net is closely linked to the mission of NEREUS manifested in its statutes:

“Regional Authorities can give a significant contribution to space policy, in the creation of new services for the benefit of citizens and exploiting new emerging markets, in particular for their capability to ensure an active participation of the different economic and social actors within their territory” (extract from NEREUS Political Charter).

We invite you take a look at the video above to get to know more about NEREUS and the contribution of Bremen region to NEREUS. For more information please visit

The COPERNICUS programme

Across Europe, regional authorities are among the main beneficiaries of COPERNICUS (formerly GMES) products and services. DORIS_Net helps keeping them up to date with new possibilities. Addressing the key domains – atmosphere, land, marine, emergency response, climate change and security – with a view to facilitate informed decision making at local, regional, national and European levels, Europe's Global Monitoring for Environment and Security (COPERNICUS) initiative is a complex, and multifaceted programme.
