PhD Reading Group: Action in Art and Museums

PhD students are invited to join us for the 6th ChiSRA reading group.

Sipei LU (Museum Studies) will make a presentation on the subject of 'Action in Art and Museums', which will be followed by a screening of Mountains May Depart (山河故人, 2015), Dir. Jiang Zhanghe, 2h11m.

Mountains May Depart, directed by Jiang Zhangke (one of the most lauded China's Sixth Generations filmmakers), scales new heights with this futurist drama. Selected to be shown in the Special Presentation section of the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival and nominated for Asian Film for Best Film 2016.

Date: 31 March 2016.
Time: 1.30-3pm (presentation); 4pm (film screening).
Venue: ATT 802 (Attenborough Seminar Block, 8th floor, 802) (presentation); KE LT3 (Ken Edwards Ground Floor Lecture Theatre 3) (film screening).
