ChiSRA PhD Reading Group Launched!

Reading group for PhD research students launched by the Chinese Studies Research Alliance (ChiSRA) at the University of Leicester.

The inaugural ChiSRA PhD gathering generated great interest from PhD students studying subjects related to China at the University. As a result, a PhD reading group has been launched by ChiSRA to engage research students and with the purpose of providing them with opportunities to discuss their research with their peers, as well as with leading experts from academia and also to receive tailored feedback on the progress of their research projects. All PhD students and University staff members are welcome to join the reading group.

Provisional timetable for forthcoming meetings:


19th November, 10.45-11.45am

Preparatory activities:

  1. For each presenter, please circulate your article and ideally an agenda of main points that you would like to discuss with ChiSRA PhD members one week before the reading group. The mailing list for the ChiSRA PhD students is
