All presenters and participants must register to attend the conference, but once booked, the fee is all-inclusive.

All fees are payable in pounds sterling:

Delegate rate: £345.00 £245.00
PhD students:
ChiSRA members: n/a £150.00

What does the fee include?

  • Four-star quality accommodation for one night (24th September) - residential fees only
  • Meals and refreshments
  • The delegate pack (including the book of abstracts)
  • Free wifi
  • On-site car parking


We are pleased to be able to offer six bursaries of £50 each for PhD students and early career researchers to enable them to attend the conference. They will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Those wishing to apply are advised to do so as soon as possible. The bursaries are intended to help towards the cost of travel to and from Leicester and additional accommodation, if required.

Those wishing to apply for a bursary are advised to email ( providing name, institution (where applicable), name of supervisor, title of PhD, date of completion (or expected date of completion), and a brief statement describing how the bursary will assist the applicant to attend the conference.

Successful applicants will receive the bursary on receipt of evidence of travel/accommodation costs.


You will be staying at the University of Leicester’s newly opened conference venue, College Court, just minutes from the main University campus and within easy reach of Leicester Railway Station.

The conference fee includes bed and breakfast accommodation for one night at College Court. Delegates wishing to stay additional nights in Leicester should contact College Court to check availability. A selection of alternative hotels, to suit different price ranges, is available here.
