Registering with the Police

As part of your visa conditions some nationalities have to register with the local police

Do I have to Register?

https://www.gov.uk/register-with-the-police

If you have to register with the Police this will be noted on your visa, BRP card or in the letter you received advising that you had been granted permission to enter or remain in the UK. If you have recently renewed your visa with a University Adviser you will automatically be given an appointment with the police when your visa is returned from the Home Office. The Student Immigration Advice and Compliance Team will contact you to let you know your visa is ready to collect and will provide you with an appointment slot.

How much will it cost?

When you register for the first time you will need to pay £34 per person.

How do I register and what documents will I need to show?

2. Download and print this form.  You must take this completed form with your documents when you attend your appointment to register with the police.

To complete the form you must download and save to either your PC or laptop. Then open the form, click on ‘comment’ in the top right hand corner, then click on the T icon and complete the appropriate sections.

 3. Prepare your documents and take all required documents with a photocopy to your appointment.
