Web editing for Local Publishers and Content Editors in MyWorkspace

Course Overview

You must be a Local Publisher or Content Editor in Corporate Services to attend this course.

This course will familiarise you with the MyWorkspace intranet environment and help you to build content which follows the approved page layouts for MyWorkspace.

You will find out how MyWorkspace is structured with Subsites and pages, and how to create and edit pages using web parts. You will learn how to use the publishing process and how the roles of Local Publisher and Content Editor relate to this.

On completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Know the terminology, processes and structure of MyWorkspace
  • Create and edit pages, adding content, links and page anchors
  • Add links to documents
  • Publish and approve pages
Who is it for?

Staff in Corporate Services who have been assigned the role of Local Publisher or Content Editor for MyWorkspace.

What prior experience do I need?

It is assumed that you will:

  • Be confident working with computers and navigating websites
  • Have a good working knowledge of Word and other Office programs
  • Have an understanding of web communication
  • Be familiar with your own department's current web content
