Understanding Financial Statements


Course Description


This course will introduce you to University Financial Statements.  This will be useful if you are interested in understanding what financial statements are and how they present the results of our University to the public.

What can I expect  cover?

You will cover the basics of financial statements, (what they are, what they tell us, how we can use the information contained within them) as well as who to go to if you have more detailed questions or want to understand more.

What will I get out of this course?

On completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Understand what information is included in financial statements
  • Understand what that information can tell us about our University
  • Understand how we can use the information in financial statements to compare institutions
