Will Student Support Services still be available during the closure period?

Student Support Services continues to be operational to students and staff, but with alterations to our delivery.

Opening Times

From next week, services will be available Monday-Friday 9.00am-5.00pm for remote and digital support.  Additionally there will be a face-to-face pop-up service available at fixed times on the Oadby and Nixon Court sites for students who remain in residence in the city.

Contacting the Team

The team will be able to access all inboxes; , , however, our primary point of contact will be the inbox. All inboxes will be monitored and replies sent during our normal working hours. For any student COVID related queries/reports, please direct students to this link


All appointments for students will be converted to remote methods; zoom or email. This will enable ‘face to face’ and audio contact with students to be maintained, and business as usual activities to be delivered. Please bear with us though as we convert to this way of working.

Report and Support

Report and Support will still be functioning and monitored by the Standing Together team via For any concerns you have about students please use; for COVID related issues and for risk related concerns.

External Services

All external services provided to students on campus; the Chaplaincy, Choices, Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) and Headspace have been communicated with about the changes to service delivery and university campus closure. The chaplaincy will continue to offer a level of service, this may change, so we advise may contact with them directly via . Choices, ISVA and Headspace and have suspended their services on campus, but continue to deliver within the wider community at present.


We anticipate that adapting to this new way of working may take a while to adapt to, and appreciate your support and patience.
