Sports scholar and University of Leicester student, Rohan Bhuhi is nominated for the British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards’ (BEDSA) Young Sports Person of the Year award Winners are chosen through a public vote, so show your support for a fellow student.

The BEDSAs recognise and celebrate the contributions made by black and minority ethnic communities. The awards help to drive change in the sport sector where role models from more communities are a priority to increase participation.

Computer scientist Rohan is an established Great Britain U21 hockey player, where he has a place on the elite development programme. Rohan also finds time in his busy schedule to represent the University men’s 1st team when he doesn’t have any conflicting Great Britain commitments.

The British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards are on the Saturday 14 March. Also nominated for the same aware are Ellie Downie (gymnastics) and Aaliyah Powell (taekwondo)
