Once again, Oadby Owls annual mini soccer tournament is facilitated by The University of Leicester.

Recognised as Leicestershire's largest grassroots football club for children between the ages of seven and ten, there was over 80 teams in attendance at this year’s event, hosted at Stoughton Road playing fields in Oadby.

Chairman of Oadby Owl Football Club, Rob Farrar, told the University staff that “the feedback from participating clubs was once again very positive.”

Citing the support the club receives from Leicester University year in year out, Farrar went on to further say that “Oadby Owls can boast expertise in the management of this event, but without doubt it is the facilities on offer, not least the quality of the pitches, that make the event one of the best in the country.”

The University of Leicester are proud to confirm that next year’s tournament will be held at Stoughton Road playing fields.
