Calling all members of staff at the University of Leicester

Have you ever thought about giving Marathon running a try but worried that the distance is just too far, then why not take the Sport and Recreation service up on their offer of joining the Cummins Relay Challenge as part of the Leicester Half Marathon.

This opportunity will help you ease your way into Marathon running as you form a team of 4 to complete the Leicester Half Marathon, giving you just 3.25 miles to run instead of the full 13.

The event will take place on Sunday 23rd October, starting from Victoria Park (located next to campus).

The entry fee has been covered by the Sport and Recreation service meaning it is FREE for you to enter, along with your free entry you will also receive a whole bunch of goodies such as t-shirt to run in, a goody bag and hospitality after the event.

This is a fantastic first step in helping you discover some new found confidence and fitness as you train for the event, we have a host of fitness instructors who will be on hand to help you train for the event and also give you any advice and support should you need it.

For more information on this event please feel free to comment or drop Lewis Jones an email.

Entrants will be on a first come, first served basis as we only have a limited amount of teams available.
