Alex Lloyd to represent Great Britain in Armenia and St Petersburg (Russia)

The Championships will take place from the 15th-19th April.

After recent national recognition and personal International development, University of Leicester medical student and Sports Scholar Alex Lloyd, has been selected by British Fencing to represent Great Britain at the European under-23 Championships in Yerevan (Armenia). The Championships will take place from the 15th-19th April.

Alex is recognised at senior men’s level as well and has recently received confirmation that he has been selected for the British Senior Team who will compete at the World Cup in St Petersburg (Russia), taking place on Friday 4th May.

Steve Bayley, Sport Experience Officer (Performance) at Leicester, added: Alex is extremely proud of his two Great Britain selections. The staff who work with him at Leicester are conscious of his potential and ability in the Foil discipline and will be following the results closely in the coming days from the European under-23 competition in Armenia.
